Lead the strategic direction of television-related media investments to support fundraising goals by driving increased awareness and maximizing gift conversions as part of the Performance Marketing ecosystem. Responsible for understanding and optimizing the donor mix based on changes in television strategy, consumer behaviors, and media buying methods. Collaborate with business partners across the company to develop strategies to reach new audiences, drive new donor conversion, and cultivate existing donors. Provide subject matter expertise in television media planning, television specific KPIs, and emerging television media trends to develop and optimize overall media performance results. Provide leadership in planning orchestrated performance marketing across all channels beyond television such as search, social media, viewing, streaming video and audio to build efficient and effective media plans. Enhance existing television media buying approaches and partner donor travel to meet business growth goals. Create and deliver presentations on television strategy, media execution, and optimization strategies to support marketing objectives. Partner with media operations, performance analytics, and UX/content teams to analyze results across all response channels to inform strategic optimizations.


1. Offer awareness and acquisition strategies on traditional and emerging television media channels. Support performance marketing revenue and donor goals through audience-centric, data-driven media planning

2. Provide information on recommended media budgets and mix allocations media

Continuously evaluate and test television media channels and partners along with emerging platforms and strategies

3. Develop and maintain television media financial projections as input to overall planning of the media mix. Partner with performance analytics and media operations teams to assess media pace and channel/partner allocation to help optimize and better plan for media investment

4. Find opportunities to grow and diversify our donor mix through television media

5. Partner with UX/content teams to leverage data to drive unique user journeys into our television marketing efforts to drive a More effective and efficient awareness, acquisition and engagement

6. Partners with executive leaders to develop strategies and plans to support short- and long-term business goals.

7. Collaborate with creative partners to determine effective audience-based messaging approaches.

8. Manages and documents television media strategies and communicates among team membersmultifunctional.

9. Advise television media buying resources and television media creative process to maintain execution alignment and drive high-quality deliveries. Advise on operational standards and alignment between audience categories

10. Develop and/or improve planning processes and communication between cross-functional teams

11. Advise on the operational process to ensure the conversion and fulfillment of television media goals and promises to our donors

12. Guide high-performing media strategists and help build teams at touchpoints of users to optimize donor conversion

13. Help establish and clarify engagement and growth targets for performance television media and help delegate and prioritize work deliverables among members of the team

14. Serve as a leader in decisions related to television performance marketing strategies. Provide ongoing television media expertise to business partners and cross-functional teams as needed

15. Manage relationships with existing television media partners to establish strategic direction and maintain prioritization of needs for goals short-term and long-term

16. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal media and user travel mix

17. Manage engagement rules and expectations with agencies external partner television

18. Partner closely with inbound call centers, creative teamsand of products in conversion and donation experiences. Work with inbound call center partners to optimize call routing and improve call scripting with the goal of increasing phone call conversion driven by marketing efforts. Partner with inbound call centers and others to evaluate and test new messaging approaches and technology


1. Perform various other job functions to promote operational excellence as assigned.

2. Perform work tasks assigned as part of ALSAC’s Business Continuity Management Program, including annual maintenance and business continuity testing, disaster recovery, and response plans to emergencies.


Experience in developing media strategies and tactical media planning in all channels. Experience in channel mix decisions and attribution applications. Experience in integrating user journeys through the media and audiences. Mastery of programs used for visual and dynamic presentations, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bachelor’s degree or more advanced degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as business, finance, or mathematics and 10 years of experience in marketing or advertising, including specific experience in television media, including media management, media purchasing, and vendor management. Marketing expertise directly to experienced performance media consumers. Experience the leading strategyfor a media partner/agency or in-house media team. Experience developing and managing media strategies in a fast paced environment. Experience leading and executing scenario planning to develop emerging media and marketing plans based on performance goals. Able to think and act strategically with the practical ability to be practical when needed.

Able to analyze and interpret data in order to make strategic marketing decisions. Self-motivated with a strong intellectual curiosity, especially around the definition of impacts. Able to communicate complex ideas to business partners and executive leadership. Proven experience working with projects from inception to completion (definition of objectives, analysis, communication of results and recommendation of next steps. Strategic working knowledge of marketing technologies: television media buying and measurement platforms; emerging offers for audience-based programs; performance analysis tools to measure media success; creative and media testing tools and ad technology expertise; audience and data management solutions with a knowledge of technology and integration of processes; reports and data visualization.
