We launched a new hair care brand with American hairdresser, TV personality, podcast host, actor and author Jonathan Van Ness. The global hair care market represents approximately 25% of the $ 300 billion beauty market and has seen an acceleration of growth throughout 2020 with over 50% of consumers choosing clean and healthy hair care products. sustainable. The new JVN hair care brand launches in August 2021 and offers unmatched ingredient effectiveness, clean formulas and packaging, with true inclusiveness. JVN focuses on responding to hair health needs, will present a patented Amyris ingredient, hemisqualane, a powerfully moisturizing silicone alternative that is effective on all hair textures.
This coordinator role will be a brand administrator through influencer marketing, PR, activations and global launches to develop brand awareness and grow and manage the JVN community. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about social media trends and influencers, and the ability to be flexible and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Global Brand Marketing.
Responsibility
- INFLUENCER:
- Develop meaningful relationships with media and influencers, effectively sharing tools and resources with global partners and agencies
- Manage discovery or augment and incoming influencers across new and emerging platforms (aka the next TikTok), ensuring JVN is first on the market and has best in class relationships
- Maintain global media/contact lists including address, date of birth, etc.
- Identify and implement ways to enable JVN to stand out from other brands through differentiated communication, gifts, partnership opportunities
- Support in developing influencer campaigns (both brand-focused than on the product), from creative concept to execution, ensuring alignment with functional channels and global partners and maximization of campaign objectives and KPIs

- Identify and develop innovative, innovative and best in class strategies using data, always testing new formats, platforms and creative ideas to help JVN break through
- Lead the casting of talents for selected product campaigns with influencers; work with creative and marketing teams to ensure resources are maximized for global use across paid media, PR, site, email and reseller
- Campaign Development: Test new platforms, formats and innovative marketing strategies to interact with influencers and drive sales and engagement; identify, define and execute disruptive social, PR and influencer strategies
- BriefCreation: develop and own key models to use in influencer campaigns so that guidelines are clearly communicated and understood by all parties; lead kick-off call before each campaign/production
- Manage reports on all campaigns from global influencers, celebrities, PR, gifts, community and loyal activations, creating post-mortem summaries and weekly reports
- Develop a strategy using data to drive brand investments and own the tools/platforms needed to measure success (ROI, conversion, CPC, CTR, referral traffic, list growth, reach, impressions, engagement, sentiment, share of voice, product reviews)
- PR:
- Support strategic planning, daily communication and execution of activities with global PR agencies and partners to promote greater brand awareness and high impact coverage in the media to support the fundamental pillars of the brand, brand campaigns, products and new launches
- Gifts
- Events PR: deskside, incon virtual trios, conferences, masterclasses, etc.
- Awards
- New Awareness channel (podcast, broadcast, etc.)
- Make sure updates, goals and priorities are shared consistently with external partners and internal for consistent messaging.
- Support in developing resources and materials needed by press, external partners/reseller agencies and internal team members, including one-pager, photographs, samples, influencer content, quotes, seals
- COMMUNICATION:
- Directing all planning and communication with JVN and team membersexternal to ensure alignment on all requests, activations, calendars, etc.
- Organize and compile all internal communications to ensure a seamless workflow
Qualifications required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Detail orientation with ability to multi-task and dexterity between changing priorities
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work in a short timeframe
- Working well independently and collaboratively with all levels of the organization
- Must demonstrate solid decision-making skills and abilities to act quickly under pressure. Works effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-based environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
