NBK Capital is looking to hire an Associate for its subsidiary in Dubai. You will be working under some of the most talented and inspiring Alternative Investment professionals working on deals across a broad variety of industries within the MENA region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience gained within a bulge-bracket or high-performing Investment Banking/Private Equity/Private Credit team in one of the global financial centers.
Job Summary:
The Associate will play a lead role in analyzing specific companies for investment or creditworthiness, taking the lead in financial modeling, industry research and memo preparation to ensure high quality investment/credit decisions. The Associate will work with small deal teams of professionals that are responsible for screening, negotiating, performing due diligence, documenting, and closing new investments/loans, as well as supporting post-acquisition portfolio management initiatives and monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Screen new investment opportunities and early development of investment theses.
- Conducting industry research and analysis in the identification and analysis of potential new investment opportunities and early development of investment theses.
- Conducting financial models and analysis: including applicable assumptions and methodology.
- Drafting concise memos and in depth deal approval documents to the investment committee for new investment opportunities.
- Conducting due diligence related to new investment opportunities.
- Support Senior Team in all stages of deal execution.
- Participate in portfolio management activities as well as preparing portfolio review report on a quarterly and annual basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other relevant degrees from a top tier university. MBA from a top tier university is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated knowledge of various valuation techniques and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills in English.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High degree of initiative, motivation and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage time/multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player and contribute to a positive team culture.
