Opportunity Summary: As a conversion supervisor, you are responsible for managing plant personnel to meet manufacturing and production schedules. You will coordinate production operations and maintain effective quality procedures and safety regulations for the facility.

How You Will Impact WestRock

• Enforce factory safety regulations and encourage employees to be safety conscious
• Manage manufacturing employees to include performance reviews and actions Disciplinary
• Make recommendations to improve the safety, environment and health of the entire facility
• Manage day-to-day shift operations with an ongoing emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Monitor production activities to eliminate waste and ensure compliance with production and transportation schedules
• Work with other team members to control and improve efficiency, minimize overtime, downtime and repair expenses
• Controlling load factorsand workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment

What You Need to Succeed

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with 3-4 years of related experience
• Proven experience in operations, manufacturing or supply chain.
• Preferred experience in the corrugated cardboard industry.
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Proven track record of effective problem solving
• Ability to embrace continuous improvement
• Strong skills Collaboration and teamwork with stakeholders across all roles
• Ability to train and train employees
• Ability to be a turn-based resource to resolve process issues as well as issues Maintenance
• Ability to make independent and effective decisions
• Possess the ability to be a self-directed team player
• Flexibility to work in multiple turns
