Job description
Customer relationship consultants build relationships with customers by engaging them through multiple channels, including in person, by appointment, and virtually to provide the best possible advice while adapting a digital mindset. Strong customer relationships are based on trusting, evaluating and caring for customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, demonstrating and educating customers about the products and services of deposit and loan available and the recommendation of solutions based on each client’s unique goals and needs.
Build and promote customer relationships through proactive communication and follow up, asking questions and knowing their financial needs and banking channel preferences. Identify solutions for new and existing customers based on their needs by effectively engaging and communicating with customers. Maintains practical knowledge of banking products and services for consumers and businesses, includingdigital products and services. Provides a seamless and consistent customer experience, including customer reception and basic transaction processing. Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to better serve customers. Opens new consumer and business accounts, completes service requests, and submits credit requests. Proactively educate customers about emerging and self-service digital products and services to help them meet their financial needs. Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the customer experience and serve our customers with operational excellence and accuracy.
This position requires registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the terms of the S.A.F.E. 2008 Act and Regulation Z. You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal record and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit history, may result in the offer being terminated or the employment relationship terminated.
Basic qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of customer service experience
- Five or more years of experience in sales
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Proven ability to build and promote customer relationships through proactive awareness and follow-up activities
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with customers
- Advanced knowledge of policies, procedures and support systemsApplicants of banks and branches
- In-depth knowledge of all retail products and services
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience in participating in campaigns/promotions sales
- Experience in the use and demonstration of digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to explore and identify real needs using a digital first mindset
- Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet client needs both reactively and proactively
- Financial services industry experience preferred
