Job Details
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality and yields, ensuring the safest work environment possible. This position requires essential understanding and control of the production process, keeping accurate records, and overall line and personnel maintenance. Specific responsibilities include checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, ensuring that each position is filled before the start of the production line, overseeing team members’ morning exercises and task rotation to facilitate ergonomics and ensuring that all machines have the best possible standard performance. Other responsibilities include ensuring that all workstations have passed USDA inspection, promoting daily safety as well as through monthly safety meetings, and ensuring accurate shipments, rotation.inventory and proper product coding. In addition, this position is responsible for knowing and communicating the company’s benefits and compensation policies to Team Members, encouraging Members to form the best team possible and critical capacity to perform human relations functions such as training, retention and advice on personal and professional problems. Other duties include overseeing various processing operations and working with other supervisors to resolve issues, keeping records of reworked or returned products, providing ongoing education on the importance of quality, and performing other responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
Education: high school diploma; education beyond high school, including
special training, vocational school and/or university courses are preferred.
Computer skills: Basic useful computer skills.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
Supervision: This position is responsible for supervising a group of
Personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or
activities.
Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
