As an Engineer_ECS, you will be responsible for performing testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities on site with hands-on skills and communicates with global team for field issue resolution when needed for Motion Business Area in Taipei City, Taiwan.
Reporting to the Business Area Manager, you will be creating work plans and duration estimates in own area of responsibility and ensures quality deliverables on time.
Your responsibilities
- Completing to project/service assignments and provides issue resolution with product and application knowledge and analytical skills according to engineering practices, principles, and procedures.
- Reporting any contract/quality/technical/cost issues to management along with opinions on resolution.
- Supporting Project Managers in project status/issue reporting.
- Ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
- Preparing project related documentation according to assigned scope of deliverables.
- Improving effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with the team.
- Supporting customers on technical issues and assists communication to understand their technical expectations as well as frequent travel to the customer sites.
- Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
Your background
- A Bachelor’s degree of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field) with appropriate field experience in the environment and application of traction converter and rail vehicle.
- Competence of hand-on practice for technical field work.
- Analytical and critical thinking skill for situation assessing, problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Well communication skills with both Chinese and English in efficient and effective manner.
- Flexibility to work in a team environment.
- Must have customer focused attitude.
- High level of safety awareness
