About work

The front desk agent is responsible for providing consistent excellent service to guests/clients prior to arrival, upon arrival and during their stay, from check-in to check-out. This employee will be responsible for registration, payment and cash. forforWhat are you going to doforQuickly welcome and check in guests, provide guest information as needed, obtain ID and credit/check approval as directed by hotel policy. Check rate and departure date. Please confirm and modify the information required to complete the registration process according to hotel procedures. forforAnswer all guest questions accurately and resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Authorize revenue allocations as allowed by hotel policy. forforResolve guest complaints and issues by following the Widewaters Hotels \”L.E.A.D\” process. forforUpgrade guest rooms, food and beverage outlets, if applicable, and seasonal hotel promotions. forforMake restaurant, transportation, and entertainment reservations for guests, plus other concierge services as requested, and have in-depth knowledge of hotel, business, area, and local amenities. forforCommunicate with other hotel departments to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction. forforMaintain a knowledge of the hotel’s history, services, facilities information,rates and packages. forforThank guests with genuine appreciation at the end of each stay and ask \”Is there anything we could have done better to make your stay more enjoyable?\” forforRegister guests in Reservations/PMS and follow proper check-in and check-out procedures. forforReview the front desk log when you enter your shift and record pertinent information as needed during the shift. forforPost charges to single room or main account. forforManage cash/credit transactions and maintain a personal bank. forforAccept payment from guest accounts, including third-party accounts, advance purchase reservations, and during check-in time at check-in/check-out. forforDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to achieve goals. forforHelp others as needed and special projects as needed. forfor Requirements
for
An associate degree in hospitality or travel and tourism is preferred. forforA minimum of one (1) year of experience in a main office position. forforYou must possess in-depth knowledge of the hotel industry and have strong administrative skills. forforMust be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. forforStrong guest service skills
forAble to work with PMS software. forforAble to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers. forforCPR certification is a bonus. forforMust be able to stand up to 8 hours at a time. forforHas tohave a positive attitude at all times. ”
