Position Related

End to End responsibility for the development and operation of the Automation Hub services according to the strategic ambitions and customers’ expectations. Build and manage the needed agile practices and way of work in the squad to ensure efficiency and a winning team culture. People leader of the squad employees with focus on making the squad a good place to work with high engagement and performance.

Goals

Automation Hub services is all about automating business processes using state of the art integration and automation technologies. As Director of Automation Hub you will work closely with all Telenor Business Units globally supporting them on their automation and digitalization journeys

  • Responsible for the strategic roadmap and lifecycle of the services
  • End to end responsibility for the development and operation (DevOps) of the services according to the roadmap
  • End to end responsibility for the quality and agreed service outcome
  • Profit and loss responsibility for the services. Ensure all services and activities are fully funded
  • Ensure all services and practices are compliant to the security and privacy requirements and group policies
  • Ensure strong and positive collaboration between the squad and Business Owners and Customers to agree on roadmap, backlog and operational quality
  • Ensure high degree of automation in the services and practices to meet the expectations of Touch Free Operations
  • Ensure the squad is on top of industry trends, technologies, agile practices, methods and tooling
  • Responsible for creating a positive working environment in the squad with highly motivated and engaged employees
  • Build and manage a high performing team with needed psychological safety for the team to succeed
  • Keep the GSS management team updated and engaged on relevant topics

Your Typical day at work

  • Set up and run relevant stakeholder meeting places to discuss and drive the roadmap activities
  • Perform the Product Owner role to ensure correct priorities and activities
  • Create opportunities for service growth and expansions
  • Set the right expectations to the squad and follow up on qualitative KPIs
  • Collaborate with Finance on service pricing mechanisms and get the needed agreements and alignment in place with the customers. Take needed actions on cost development to be in line with financial targets and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure the risk register for security and privacy are updated and take needed actions to mitigate the risks
  • Tight-loose-tight leadership activities towards the squad and each employee to ensure trust and autonomy
  • Regular feedback loops and catch ups with the employees. Strength based approach to drive performance.
  • Proactively approach the management team with updates, challenges, and opportunities

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Management Information Systems

Work Experience

  • Experience (8 years) with process automation, integration technologies and automation platforms
  • Exposure to software development and agile practices

Interpersonal/Professional Skills

  • Strong communication, presentation, and organization skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and time management skills are essential
  • Ability to effectively engage and work with a variety of stakeholders on all levels
  • Ability to motivate and drive a high performing team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use critical thinking in solving challenges
  • Cross-functional business and application knowledge
  • Understand and follow best practices within software development and agile practices
