The Team: The team covers US banking and financial services news in English. Our reporters leverage data and reports to deliver differentiated content to a dedicated readership base. The coverage areas range from mergers of major financial companies, to changes in regulatory policies and changes in competitive dynamics.

Working hours (hourly shift): American day shift (9: 00-18: 00 ET).

The Impact: As a member of the US financial institutions team, you will play a key role in helping our readers provide our readers with high quality data-driven news on topics such as credit risk, fintech, merger and acquisition, ESG, investment banking, loan and strategy. You will provide support to the team by writing value-added content for our users and assisting in editing and management responsibilities when needed.

Responsibility

  • Write and edit the latest English language news and data-driven articles for our real-time news platform.
  • Juggle writing, management modification and responsibility.
  • Working with editors and journalists to create and refine in-depth content
  • Iidentifies and manufactures industry-leading value-added analytical pieces that illuminate key trends.
  • Has the ability to leverage internal and external data and other graphics to provide valuable insights to readers.
  • Collaborate with reporters, data reporters and other teams in the newsroom.
  • Have strong communication skills and work well under pressure.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably related to economics, management, journalism or related fields).
  • Knowledge of English is required.
  • Proven experience in professional journalism, including English language copying.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • At least two to three years of experience in corporate journalism.
  • Ability to deliver crisp and concise content at daily and weekly deadlines.
  • Leading journalistic best practices (AP style, libel issues, etc.).
  • A ‘ affinity for analyzing numbers, using in-house data intelligence, financial reports and other industry information.
  • Knowledge of the financial market and analysis of economic trends
  • Someone expert with tools workflow management.
  • Assistance in managing usage reports in Excel and analysis software.
  • Candidates should pass the internal modification test, before the talks with the team.

The Role: You’ll spot news nuggets from source documents that include press releases, regulatory documents, and other third-party news articles to write factual news. vWrite news articles, ensuring accuracy, style of the houseand content quality. Help build our coverage by contributing story ideas, checking your news contacts, and filling out daily and weekly features.
