Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing

The Imperva Infrastructure team architects, builds, and operates one of the largest globally-distributed DDOS and WAF platforms in support of our substantial customer base of multinational companies with growing network security needs. We continually iterate on all aspects of AS 19551 including network infrastructure working closely on our efforts with data center operators, network hardware vendors, operational systems developers, Internet Service Providers, and a variety of partner organizations around the world.
We have concentrations of employees in San Mateo, Plano, Tel Aviv, and Singapore, but support remote hires globally to best meet our customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will lead a small globally-distributed team of business operations professionals to drive improvements around operational excellence and financial performance of Imperva’s 50+ global data centers.
- Optimize management of network and server hardware life cycles for Imperva production data centers including hardware selection, order placement, delivery tracking, ongoing asset management including decommissioning and e-waste, and tracking of software licensing and hardware support needs to ensure customer product availability.
- Align efforts with FP&A, operational teams and other business units to measure and improve the effectiveness of workflows whether internal or with vendors. Validate live services against recurring invoices to detect and resolve unactivated spend.
- Develop a global logistics strategy in conjunction with the Imperva Data Center Operations team for sparing and ongoing hardware augments, including a mix of on-site and vendor-provided hardware warehousing and freight services.
- For key activity areas determine appropriate priorities and needs, and propose alternatives to leadership that will increase the overall impact of the team across the ICO org and Imperva as a whole.
Requirements:
- Experience with IT hardware vendor management, basic financial accounting practices, commercial invoicing, and payment terms.
- Ability to express strategic and tactical plans in clear and concise written form, particularly in memo and presentation formats.
- Experience with purchase orders, purchase requisitions, vendor onboarding, and bill approval in an ERP system such as NetSuite
- Financial modeling and reporting skills that allow internal teams to understand our current and potential cost structure and commitments, with potential alternative considerations
- Gap analysis on existing workflows to identify opportunities for scaling and overall performance improvements across Imperva, including AP, FP&A, and Procurement
- Excellent network and business data analysis skills, including tools and sources such as Google Sheets and Tableau
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% regionally and globally
- Ability to work flexible hours that allow time to overlap with our globally dispersed teams in Europe and Israel.
