Role Summary

This role is responsible for the prompt analysis of in-process intermediate and finished products to ensure its compliance to specification. You will conduct routine quality inspection for the aerosol, liquid, blister and manual packing lines.

You will be also responsible to follow and implement quality, safety, regulatory and environmental procedures, guidelines and regulations in the quality control laboratory and in the area where quality analyst is responsible.

Responsibilities

• Follow Work Instructions, procedures and guidelines related to incoming materials to determine compliance to specifications and requirements
• Analyze product intermediates prior to filling and release the after-test verification that it conforms to standard
• Inspect production line operations to ensure that the outgoing products from production lines are in conformance to specifications. Release only product that conforms to specification
• Conduct microbial analyses for supplied and processed water and products like detergent, air fresheners and furniture polish. Ensure implementation of control on possible contamination by micro-organism
• Operates, maintains and calibrates all instruments in the laboratory and in the production to maintain the accuracy of test results. These instruments include Mettler weighing scales, Gas chromatograph, spectrophotometer, Coulometer, ovens, pH meter and others
• Performs quality tests to verify quality status of raw material. Release raw material delivery once it passes the test
• Reports to the Managers any non-conformance related to Product by issuing Quality Deviation Report
• Provides assistance in the trouble shooting of quality-related problems encountered in the manufacturing lines, reports status and ensures closure of the issue. Submits monthly quality report using statistical techniques to promote continuous improvement
• Keeps and stores all documents and quality records based on ISO 9001:2015, Product Safety, Regulatory and Environmental Policy and make them accessible to quality audit
• Analyses customer complaint samples when requested and provide root cause analysis on the nature of the complaint
• Monitor the quality control charts encoded by the line operators and inform his manager in times of significant variations
• Perform microbial testing plan and hold any products that are detected to have microbial issue. Initiate clearance activity and recommends appropriate actions
• Performs such other duties required of the job as may be assigned by the Manager

Position Requirements

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Industrial Pharmacy
• At least two-year experience in quality assurance of pharmaceutical or consumer products manufacturing
• Strong oral and written communication skills, articulate, self-motivated, hardworking
• Computer literate and has knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and procedures
• Strong knowledge in the efficient operation of gas chromatograph, spectrophotometer, titrators and other laboratory equipment
• High standard for safety having a direct experience in the safe handling of flammable and hazardous materials
