Summary
The Insurer is primarily responsible for claims after they have been filed with Commercial Insurance Cariiers. This position requires an individual who demonstrates strong follow-through, a lot of attention to detail, and the ability to perform multiple tasks.

Organizational impact
In this role for Digitech, you are our brand ambassador to our customers and the patients they serve. Influence your line of business by ensuring that all insurance rules, regulations and timely submission limits are met and by identifying and addressing issues that cause claims to be suspended, so that all claims are paid.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Pending job claims that cannot be released or that have been denied or incorrectly paid by insurance companies
- Review claims that have been pending , working to identify causes and address issues that keep them waiting
- Refusal of work in order to identify why claims were denied and manage follow-up accordingly.
- Provide insurance companies with additional information, if necessary to properly process a claim and/or send an appeal
- Handle all correspondence by post, e-mail and any necessary refunds; perform other duties assigned by management
Skills/Experience Required
- Knowledge of insurance company policies, practices and payment amounts.
- Medical billing, insurance billing, preferred AR experience.
- Previous insurance experience. Follow-up of complaints, follow-up of denials.
- Previously worked with Medicare HMO and Medicaid HMO from different states.
- Knowledgeof ICD 10 codes
- Strong computer skills. Basic knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Minimum typing of 40 words per minute.
- Ability to handle large volumes of work within tight deadlines
- Experience in an environment in which calls have been monitored and evaluated, as well as metrics applied to individual performance is helpful.
- Ability to calmly and effectively deal with situations via telephone maintaining and promoting a positive corporate image.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to present information and solutions in a professional and courteous manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete all assigned work .
