A fast-growing startup building the best in-car experience software in the world is looking for a Senior Android Developer. The developer will closely collaborate with both the VP of Engineering, Streaming, and the product team and will play a key role in bringing ideas to life quickly and demonstrating their value. The U.S.-based company provides access to the best movies, music, gaming, and more from your car’s comfort. It has successfully raised close to $4 mn in funding. This would be an excellent chance for the selected candidate to build the tech and team foundation for further scaling up.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop Android applications to run on Android Automotive OS (Android 10+)
- Integrate 3rd-party libraries and REST APIs into the application
- Define best practices for writing clean, scalable, and highly performant code
- Drive the technical evolution of state-of-the-art front-end clients with a strong focus on performant code that runs even on low-end devices
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 7+ years of relevant experience in Android development, Android application architecture, co-routines, clean code, and MVI pattern
- 5+ years of experience in Kotlin
- 3+ years of experience with GraphQL/REST API integration
- 3+ years of applied Android test automation skills
- Nice to have experience in Media Session, Media Browser, actively worked on media/video streaming apps, Multi-tenant apps (one codebase with multiple flavors)
- Familiarity with writing a custom video player on top of Exoplayer
- Sound Automotive experience (AAOSP)
- Solid verbal and written English skills
