Are you a novice product designer with a dream of designing innovative ideas and browsing r/catsstandingup at work? You are in the right place! Reddit is looking for a Product Design Intern! The Reddit Design Team is a group of talented problem solvers, creators and artists. Join us as we take Reddit into the future and be part of an impactful team!
Responsibility
Work on projects that impact the business. You will gain visibility into how a real design team works, with the opportunity to execute at every stage of the project lifecycle, from idea to delivery.
Contribute to design thinking at the company, resulting in tangible improvements in our product portfolio, as well as in the way we address and solve customer problems.
Contribute to the improvement of Reddit, be it by designing content creation tools on Reddit, helping to deliver relevant content to users or a number of other projects we havein the pipeline.
Let yourself be guided by experienced and passionate UX Designers. From companies large and small, you will work with designers of many different backgrounds and levels.
Keep making Reddit history as part of our next intern course. Be part of a new community, earn lots of sweet swags on Reddit, and get to know the city during sponsored outings throughout the summer.
Required qualifications
- Actively working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Art, Design, Psychology, Human-Machine Interaction or a related field
- Graduating between Fall 2022 and summer 2023
- Passion for the intersection of user experience, business, marketing and data
- A desire to ship projects quickly, learn from quantitative and qualitative data and iterate quickly
- The desire to work at Reddit’s San Francisco or New York City office during the summer of 2022 (subject to change under security guidelines created due to the global pandemic)
- You are over 18 and authorized to work in the United States
Preferential qualifications
- Strong sense of user empathy
- Familiarity with the Reddit product and our value proposition
