GENERAL SUMMARY The Shift Manager – He/she has the primary responsibility for managing the shifts; convey Cane’s culture to its crew members and customers; as well as being a creative team player who enjoys working hard, having fun and showing sincere dedication to Raising Cane’s. He/she will be responsible for maintaining the Raising Cane standards for crew member and customer experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FOCUS AREAS: Operations management – deliver “what we do” in every shift you lead; in \”What we do\” by Raising Cane is serving the perfect box, fast, friendly, clean and fun! Lead high energy shifts; leverage the tools provided by the company to run high-performance shifts; be an active manager; perform key shift measures to include: monitoring restaurant cleaning and maintenance to ensure that Raising Cane standards are being met in these areas; be a customer advocate, communicating needs to crew members to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the shift; responsible for the performance of the restaurants inside and outside the scheduled shifts; ensure all food orders are prepared to Raising Cane’s standards. People Management – Train and train crew members in the proper Raising Cane procedures in each shift; selecting potential crew members for candidates who match Raising Cane’s job qualifications; motivate crew members to maximize their potential at every turn; ensure the safety of the crew member and the customer.throughout the shift. Report all risk management issues to the General Manager; support adherence to Raising Cane’s uniform policy during the shift Business Management – Support management in all areas that impact the business to include: labor cost, waste monitoring, sales and goods costs; monitoring management of daily cash procedures; provides accurate inventory data and reports all data to the General Manager; provides a sense of urgency when dealing with all crew members and customer situations. Project Support – Supports all programs and initiatives during the shift; support management of the current Perfect Safety Box, which is Raising Cane’s risk management program; and severe weather practices; ensure that marketing tools are properly implemented; report all new hiring documents and separations in a timely manner ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The intellectual and physical demands described below are representative of what must be met by crew members to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required, any preferred college Must be 18 years of age or older. Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Occasionally it may be necessary to lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to fifty pounds; kneel, bend or crouch, go up or down stairs; reach and grab objects QUALIFICATIONS: Abilityto lead, motivate and train the crew of Cane. Ability to align Crew members with the Raising Cane culture, balancing hard work and fun. Ability to manage basic tasks and restaurant staff members take the initiative. Has excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to recognize and solve problems. Ability to set goals and convert plans into actions.
