QA Data Engineer – Remote – 6 months initial assignment.
QA Data Engineer required to act as a testing specialist within a wider Marketing & Sales Data and Digital Impact Measurement team, ensuring the accuracy of large-scale data pipelines.
As a QA engineer you will play a central role in in crafting and defining the testing approach at a pivotal time for a digital strategy. Being part of the data infrastructure team focusing on building scalable data services and pushing towards innovation and impact in across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Testing and ensuring the accuracy of key data platforms, services and pipelines used across Digital Marketing & Sales initiatives.
- Taking hands on part in code reviews and maintaining high quality data services that produce tangible business value.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design implementations to provide timely and meaningful feedback while creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for our diverse data products.
- Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities to identify bugs by means of regression testing and monitoring.
- Develop and execute automation scripts to identify, record, document thoroughly, and track results ensuring new and existing data products meet data quality expectations.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems with 5+ years’ experience with advanced data management platform (e.g., Hadoop, AWS Redshift, Google cloud platform)
- Understanding of traditional DB platforms like Business Warehouse, SQL, DB2 etc.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience with BDD test design and writing test cases with Gherkin syntax
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Experience with Atlassian development tools, i.e. Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo
- Deep expertise in data modeling and structuring, experience in high volume data environments,
- Proficiency in SAP BW S4HANA, assembling and leveraging queries, automating macros MUST
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Fluency in English
