Postman is looking for a research assistant to help deliver compelling episodes from the second season of his Breaking Changes podcast. You’ll work with the show’s host and producers to cultivate the most compelling topics, speakers, and brands, and deliver a weekly podcast that business leaders will tune into. To follow the team and the conversation, you don’t need to be a technologist, but you shouldn’t be afraid to do the work necessary to make sense of very technical concepts and talk to them during the production of an ongoing series podcast. You’ll have the technical expertise to do your job correctly, but you’ll need to bring a creative voice to discover, cultivate, and drive the conversation around a variety of modern technology topics. Helping make Postman’s Breaking Changes one of the best tech podcasts online today, speaking smartly about relevant technical issues, but done with an engaging and creative approach.

What will you do

• Conduct online surveys on technical topics involving APIs and thesoftware development lifecycle.
• Organize your search by topic, select articles and videos, and mark for future use as part of programs.
• Be behind the scenes for podcast episodes to help connect the dots with future topics and narratives.
• Help write, edit, and iterate blog posts based on individual podcast topics and episodes.
• Identify interesting authors and speakers to profile and promote to participate in future programs.
• Help the show’s producers and host brainstorm new episodes to create a compelling narrative.

About you

• BA in one of the humanities, bringing intelligent creativity to a technical domain.
• Strong command of the English language, with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Confidence using Google Docs to manage, edit and iterate through large volumes of content.
• Read, write, and discuss technical topics that you have no practical experience with.
• Experiment with creative storytelling through podcasts, video productions or as written content.
• Experience in using social media including Twitter and LinkedIn in some professional capacity.
