Work Summary

The Member Service Representative will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, potential members and guests. This is a seasonal position with opportunities to transition into permanent employment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members and guests by providing exceptional customer service.

Handle all reception-related activities, including

Answer phones in a friendly way and help callers with a variety of questions.

Check members into the system.

New member registration.

Take potential members on tours.

Facilitate necessary updates to member accounts.

Respond to members’ questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to manager or assistant manager as needed.

Assist in maintaining the organization and cleaning of the club.

Qualifications/Requirements

Customer service experience preferred.

Basic computer proficiency.

A passion for fitness and health.

Optimistic and positive attitude!

Timeliness and reliability are essential.

Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers, exceeding expectationsof the members.

Strong listener with empathy and problem solving skills.

Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.

High school diploma/GEDo equivalent Mandatory.

Must be 18 years or older.

Physical demands

Standing and walking continuously during the shift.

Continuous conversation in person or on the phone during shifts.

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally you will encounter toxic chemicals during your shift.
