for The shuttle driver position will drive a tractor with trailer, tandem trailer, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of delivering empty trailers to PFG depot locations and for pick up and deliver trailers filled with various food products (meats, fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods) to PFG home locations in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with clients, suppliers, and coworkers in a professional manner, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. He functions as a team member within the department and organization, as needed, and performs any assigned tasks to better serve the company. forfor Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to,
for Perform all required safety checks (ie, before and after the trip), including tractor/truck and trailer inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; Inspect the tractor/truck and trailer to make sure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safety issues and/or repairsnecessary. for

• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Report each and every safety hazard immediately.
• Inspect the trailer to see if the cargo is properly loaded and secured. Make sure all required routing paperwork is with the tractor trailer load and is available to the driver at time of shipment.
• Drive and deliver the trailers according to the predetermined route schedule.
• Perform attachment/detachment procedures according to safety guidelines. Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas. Make sure all equipment and cargo are properly locked and/or secured at all times.
• Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in an empty trailer to take to the driver’s record at the base facility and complete the necessary paperwork. Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as needed.
• Complete the daily hours-of-service log and log in accordance with federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Perform general cleaning duties on the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as needed.

Qualifications
for High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

• Valid double backed CDL A
• Must be 21 years of age
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
• Work required Third shift hours, Sunday through Thursday nights (hours may vary)
• Pass the pre-employment drug test
• Pass the driving test
• Current and valid DOT health card and/or be able to obtain a new DOT health card
• Able to manually lift and use a two-wheel liftgate and/or other equipment to move/or stack product/cargo boxes of different sizes and weights during the shift; product generally ranges from 60 to 90 pounds, depending on location.
