How it will impact Paula’s Choice: Paula’s Choice finance and accounting team provides valuable information on financial performance for key stakeholders and acts as a respected business partner for other departments in the organization.

As a senior accountant, a typical day may include a combination of the following:

• Perform month-end closing activities, write journal entries and accruals
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of key accounts for inventory and revenue
• Collaborate and partner with Paula’s Choice Supply Chain on cross-functional initiatives
• Analyze cost of sales and inventory results and trends to communicate with key stakeholders
• Work with the Accounting team and Finance to create and execute process improvements to meet the needs of a fast growing company
• Support team projects and prepare details for audits, taxes and financial reporting
• Help prepare working capital forecasts and provide inputs for other forecasts and budgets these initiatives
• Other responsibilities assigned by your manager

Details:

Location: Seattle, WA

Hours: Must be able to work typical Pacific Time business hours

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and handlescreen time for long periods of time

Travel requirements: up to 10%

What you will bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field of study
• 4 years of experience in an Accounting role with responsibility for the inventory and revenue functions as well as familiarity with internal control environments
• Sound understanding of accounting principles/practices and processes (IFRS/US GAAP)
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate problems or unusual situations and develop solutions
• Experience working with an ERP solution is required
• Ability to organize, solve problems and document results accurately for presentation
• Clear and concise communication in a team environment while working independently on key tasks
• Ability to to listen carefully, ask questions and lead discussions
• Maintain a schedule of various responsibilities while staying within a set schedule
• Proficiency in Excel/spreadsheets and Microsoft Office

What can help you really stand out:

• A Bachelor of Accounting
• Experience working with inventory and revenue accounting (retail/consumer goods preferred)
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Audit experience/public accounting is an advantage
