Purpose
We seek an Operations Manager/General Manager who will be providing logistic support and overseeing the overall logistics processes in our Namibian office.
Your responsibilities will also include planning, management, and coordination of logistics support operations to ensure smooth shipping, deliveries and collections.
Qualification & Experience:
Completed relevant Degree (preferred)
5 years Operations management experience
5 years logistics/warehousing industry experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtain and ensure highest levels of customer service and efficiently attend to client’s requests and queries promptly.
- Liaise with client/supplier effectively in accordance with the Alistair operational process.
- Ensuring correct documentation and efficient border crossings.
- Monitor orders placed until the goods have been confirmed delivered (track process
- Ensure the transport service is executed at a high standard and cargo is delivered on time.
- Should the service offering be below par, investigate all service failures are reported as well as any claims or incidents within a tight time frame/deadline.
- Obtain invoices from the relevant service providers
- Expand and grow the division
