Who We Are Looking For

The Data Management Business Analyst for new client onboarding will be required to demonstrate knowledge of Data Migration concepts (including structured and unstructured data) and perform lead role in the migration of transfer agency client data into the various core systems

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Interact directly with incumbent TA and their technology vendors and agree on data offload plan
  • Provide estimate for the workstream’s “Statement of Work”
  • Work with project leads to understand and document the requirement and strategy for Data Migration
  • Lead the data mapping from prior system/s to the new system/s
  • Analyze and document transformation rules for data migration
  • Work with incumbent TA to ensure required investor documentation is transferred in a timely manner
  • Work with image repository vendor and operational areas to ensure AML documents are loaded
  • Obtain appropriate sign-off for requirements and business rules related to data migration
  • Ability to identify multiple options and potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
  • Analyze and interpret initial dataset for quality and data integrity
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) for Data Migration
  • Act as lead for the data migration team in order to accurately and efficiently migrate the incoming data
  • Report progress and escalate risks / issues to Project Manager
  • Ability to clearly define requirements in significant details leaving no room for misinterpretation.
  • Oversight of Data Migration test cases and test strategy and participate in Data Migration testing
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing as required from a Data Migration standpoint
  • Participate in dress rehearsal for data migration activities and coordinating the data migration elements of these.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and obtain sign off from relevant stakeholders
  • IFDS Employees are required to comply with the regulatory regime in which IFDS operates as appropriate to the above role.

What We Value

  • Strong business analysis experience in financial services or relevant field
  • Good understanding of Data Migration, ETL, Testing and Reconciliations
  • Proficient in SQL, Python or similar data analysis languages
  • Specific experience in data conversion and reconciling data conversion between financial services systems is desired
  • Strong experience of coordinating and driving delivery working with technical teams against tight time-frames, ideally in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interaction and influencing skills
  • Strong Presentation and workshop organisation skills
  • Ability to clearly define requirements in significant details leaving no room for misinterpretation.
  • Ability to conceptualise business needs into realistic solutions for data mapping
  • Ability to create logical and innovative solutions to solve complex problems
  • End to end experience of project lifecycle in an Agile environment
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • IT qualification
  • Previous data migration experience preferable in financial services
  • Experience with analysis and project life cycle methodologies as well as an understanding of the implementation project life cycle is preferred.
  • Knowledge of compliance, anti-money laundering and regulatory environment.
  • Proactive in acquiring information to develop new skills to improve job performance; grasps new material quickly and easily, and applies new information, concepts and procedures in a constructive manner.
  • Understanding of investment concepts and the ability to communicate a working knowledge of investment strategies and products
  • Knowledge of the mutual fund processing and quality control; call centres and the administrative back-office.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors in Business, Mathematics, Computer

Science, Analytics, or equivalent quantitative field. Or equivalent work experience
