A patient service representative employee is trained to act as the first point of contact for our patients, where they set the tone for the patient visit through excellent patient care. The employee will also carry out the necessary administrative responsibilities necessary to create a hassle-free check-in/out experience for patients.
Starting at $ 14.25/hour
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient meeting (in person or over the phone). Show a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave
- Answer phones (both external and internal); ensure timely and courteous service at all times
- Exercise urgency at all times with the patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
- Recheck insurance clearances to ensure completion and create accurate flow sheets
- Understand common rates charged for joint visits
- Monitor patients and collect correct payments
- Manage the flow of patients in the office
- Complete daily reconciliations/day off/countdown cash drawer
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA
- General office and cleaning duties to be assigned by the manager

- Reliable transportation that would allow employees to travel to multiple workplaces at advance noticeminimal
- Ability to work on weekends, when applicable
- Desire to gain knowledge and training in the industry
- Demonstrate initiative in achieving practical goals
- Ability to grow, adapt and accept change
- Coerentely create a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-centered
- Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet needs company
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees always in a courteous and professional manner
Education
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); o one year of experience and/or related training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical requests
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use his hands to touch, handle or touch. The employee is often required to stand, walk and sit down. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. The specific visual skills required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
