Together, we can help people build stronger communities, we are just getting started. forforFor this position, we are seeking an academic contributor with strong research skills in qualitative research methods or behavioral data analysis and academic experience in one or more of the following subject areas: Nonprofits, Fundraising, Philanthropic Giving, volunteering or campaigns/donations of goods. The right candidate will have experience conducting end-to-end research on one of the topics above and will be excited to collaborate with product teams to bring their research to life to inform product development in the given space. The research and collaboration is expected to last 6-12 months, but may change based on business needs. forfor Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our research team and be part of ongoing product research in the donations and nonprofits space
  • Work closely with teams (eg, product managers, designers, data analysts, engineers) to identify research topics.
  • Reach and conduct end-to-end research to understand donation-related user behavior
  • Share research results with the product team and work closely with them to integrate knowledge into the research development process
  • Share experience and knowledge from your field (through thought association, brown bag discussions, literature reviews, etc.)
  • Translate research to non-academic audiences and conduct research with an eye toward the impact it can have

Minimum rating

  • Ph.D. who. in a social science field (psychology, sociology, communication, political science, etc.)
  • Giving experience (e.g., non-profit organizations, fundraising, philanthropic giving , volunteering or campaigns/donations of goods)
  • Experience with applied statistics, survey design, behavioral data analysis and/or experience with qualitative methods such as interviews, newspaper studies, focus groups or ethnography
