Purpose of the role

To load the production materials into the main equipment, respecting the company quality and safety standards in the production of pet food.

Main responsibilities

• To maintain safety standards using LOTO and confined space access procedures when working in the main factory area.
• To load the production materials in the main piece of equipment, meeting the company standards of quality and safety in the production of pet food.
• Assistance with product changes on primary equipment.
• Communicate with the team to prevent downtime and quality problems.
• Assistance in the operation of equipment for breaks and lunches or as needed.
• Comply with the quality and food safety practices of Mars Petcare, GMP, and other regulatory and food safety standards to ensure a quality product is made.
• Documents quality attributes and provides production data for shift reports.
• This position and all contributors to the site are responsible for the food quality and safety.

Key functional skills/knowledge

• Fundamental knowledge of how the main equipment in the area operates.
• Knowledge ofmanufacturing processes.
• Ability to service and troubleshoot core equipment.
• The ability to assist with quality checks and document results using the database collection system.
• Experience and knowledge of food productionfood safety
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices

Minimum qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to respond quickly.
• Computer with the ability to enter, record, store and retrieve data
