What will you do

All Lowe associates provide quality customer service by maintaining a clean, safe and stocked store with the products our customers need. As receiver/store this means:

• Be friendly and professional and respond quickly to the needs of customers and associates.
• Ensure that goods are accurately received, stocked and replenished.
• Following proper lifting guidelines to ensure safe movement and placement of goods.

The receiver/stocker helps to supply and deliver the right products to our customers by safely unloading the goods from the incoming cargo, moving it to the sales area and storage departments. This associate handles hazardous materials, replaces damaged racks, keeps the back room organized, and makes sure the equipment is loaded. In addition, this associate organizes merchandise and core inventory to open stores for sales success. To be successful, the associate must understand and prepare for the physical demands of moving goods for most of their shift. Depending on the type of location, the Receiver/Stockist works in the morning, afternoon, evening or overnight to prepare for the opening of the store.

Travel requirements: This feature does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel occasionally for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

What we are looking for

• Full timeor part-time: Usually scheduled from 39 to 40 or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on store needs.
• Depending on the type of location, this feature requires morning, afternoon, evening or overnight availability any day of the week.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require long standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to complete work tasks.
• At a minimum, you must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; can lift more than 11 kilos with or without assistance.

Minimum qualifications

What You Need to Succeed

• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months experience in operating forklifts/electrical equipment such as elevators, order pickers and similar equipment.
• 6 months experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and storage.
