Primary responsibilities

The warehouse selector is responsible for the accurate and efficient selection of the products in our warehouse. The Warehouse Selector is also responsible for the proper preparation of shipments to our customers from the warehouse.

Essential functions

• Collect the correct selection documents before the order selection process.
• Select and separate the warehouse product by account and stop number as indicated by the computer generated label.
• Match the product description with the label description.
• Build the pallet inside the warehouse according to customer guidelines.
• Maintain production standards, minimizing errors.
• Transports completed orders via an electric pedestrian pallet truck to the dedicated rest area in the warehouse.
• Returns the completed sorting documents to the appropriate collection location according to the specifications of the shipping department in the warehouse.
• Other warehouse duties and special projects as required.
• Must maintain a good presence.
• Maintain safe working practices in the warehouse.
• Maintain the guarantees of the confidential information of the warehouse company.

Minimum requirements, qualifications, additional skills, aptitudes

• Qualifications/Additional Skills/Aptitude:
• A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in a distribution center or atmosphere is preferred of warehouse.
• Previous experience in the use of equipmentindustrial for motorized warehouses (e.g. forklifts, pallet trucks, order pickers, etc.) Preferable.
• Must have the ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
• Must have the ability to follow safe working practices in the warehouse, as indicated
• Must have the ability to work efficiently independently of direct supervision within the warehouse.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical requirements

The physical needs described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential warehouse functions of this job. Reasonable arrangements can be made to allow people with disabilities to perform essential functions. Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. The member is obliged to sit down. The employee is often required to stand, walk and climb the warehouse. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can range from very cool to very hot. The employee is also exposed to external weather conditions. Noise levels in the warehouse working environment are generally low to moderate. ”
