Due to a forecasted increase in a portfolio of transportation projects, we are seeking to recruit a locally based strategic, to be an integral part of the transport planning growth strategy in Saudi. We strive for individuals who are able to make a difference to the way we do things, who can provide inspirational leadership and drive business development and operational excellence. As the Transport Planning Director for Saudi, you will be in a position lead the development and growth of the transport Planning business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

You will be a technical and project lead for transport planning, demand and revenue forecasting and strategic planning studies as well as providing technical guidance for transport planning advice on large strategic consulting and design projects. Through regular industry participation, you will assist in developing existing and building strong new relationships and building a strong external reputation in your area of expertise. You will lead bids for transport planning work and assist with bids for large strategic consulting and design projects as part of this you will often work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

The role will be responsible for project delivery and project management, and for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services (mostly strategy/consultancy related). The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management and technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate a range of projects.

This role will give you the opportunity to lead on ongoing projects, transportation tasks on multi- disciplinary projects, Rail Projects and Strategic Consultancy projects, proposals for strategic projects with existing clients such as PIF, Neom, Hyperloop, MOT, MOMRA, Aramco, SAR, RCRC.

You will need to work closely with the Middle East Transport Planning team, in growing our overall team in the Middle East. You will also engage with our global transport planning “Strategy and Solutions” team, who are responsible for bringing global experts to fit individual project’s needs.

Here’s What You’ll Need

You will be degree qualified in a transport planning or an engineering related discipline. You will have significant experience working on multidisciplinary transport projects of high complexity and a working knowledge of the local environment, relevant industry, particularly working in Saudi Arabia. You will be experienced in client facing with good communication, marketing, sales, and leadership skills. Arabic is not a must, but desirable.
