Position Summary

Responsible for assisting with general day-to-day operations of the store, including ongoing development of effective store associates to achieve desired sales and profit results . Assess stores’ ability to meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of purchase, variety, freshness, cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance on a daily basis. Assist with the training and development of store associates through formal and informal interactions. Demonstrate the fundamental values ​​of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of the company.

Essential job functions

• Assist the store manager and associates in achieving a customer-friendly shopping experience
• Lead teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising and operating initiatives
• Work with department leaders and associates to identify in-store opportunities, develop timely solutions, and create action plans to ensure implementation of plans
• Achieve/exceed weekly, periodic and annual sales, salary budgets and profit budgets, and other specific goals
• Drive sales work with department leaders to maximize sales and profits, reduce losses and improve the contribution of each department in the store
• Assist the store manager in regular discussions on financial performance tostore level to include developing budgets and other specific goals with store associates
• Use coordinators and other field personnel to ensure that store departments are meeting sales goals and earnings and ensure the implementation and execution of the division’s marketing plans.
• Promote and support strong relationships with community organizations in the surrounding area in which the store operates
• Develop a proactive and productive relationship with union representatives and commercial agents, if the store is covered by a collective bargaining agreement
• Serve as a liaison providing feedback to the store manager, district manager and coordinators on the effectiveness of the Division’s marketing and operational plans/programs
• Assist the store manager in hiring, onboarding, development, and partner relations responsibilities
• Reduce churn and increase retention
• Provide timely feedback to customers department leaders and associates on individual and departmental performance
• Assist with managing labor and supply costs on a daily basis to meet financial objectives eros and customer service
• Technical/professional knowledge, compliance and skills Achieve a satisfactory level of technical and professional skills or knowledge in the position and/or related areas; keep up with current developments and trends
• Ensure associates and location comply with laws and regulations applicable to the company
• Supervise and advise direct reports on the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
• Must be able to perform essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum qualifications for the position

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of the applicable Division Management Training Program

Desired Prior Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Any supervisory responsibility, retail experience, financial responsibility, including budgeting and management experience
