No previous insurance or claims experience required!
Federated offers an exceptional training program to teach the fundamentals of claims and will prepare you to help customers.
Responsibilities
- Work with policyholders, physicians, lawyers, contractors and others to ensure that claims are resolved quickly, fairly and courteously.
- Explain policy coverage to policyholders and third parties.
- Complete full investigations and document facts related to complaints.
- Determine the value of damaged items or accurately pay for medical benefits and lost wages.
- Negotiate agreements with policyholders and third parties.
- Resolve claims, which may include payment, settlement or denial of claims, defense of policyholders in court, pledge or recovery of outstanding dollars.
Minimum qualifications
- A four-year degree in a business related field
- Experience in a customer service role in industries such as retail, hospitality, logistics, banking , automotive dealerships, car rentals, sales or similar fields
- Capacityto make confident decisions based on available information
- Strong analytical, computing and time management skills
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
