Primary responsibilities

• Safely perform warehouse functions with the use of reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts and electric pallet trucks.
• Functions may include, but they are not limited to unloading, storage, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, restocking, checking, shipping, creating boxes, etc.
• Processing of customer returns
• Inspection and staging of product quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace by following all policies and procedures
• Understand and demonstrate Essendant’s core values.
• Perform other assigned duties .

Qualifications and skills

• Highly trustworthy individual who demonstrates key values ​​including teamwork, integrity, honesty and responsibility.
• Must be able to tolerate an environment exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust and work around moving equipment.
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner e.g. box former, tape recorder, TaylorDunn, pallet truck and walkie-rider.
• Ability to use the appropriate technology effectively. e.g. pick-to-voice, computer, scanner, associated kiosk, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
• Ability to follow simple directions (verbal and written) in English .
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
