The Alteration Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a key role for correctfunctioning of the Alterations department and for completing activities that help provide superior customer service. (RSI) is responsible for providing a Customer A experience to David’s Bridal’s customers. Report to the store manager. Alterations CSR is responsible for duties that may include welcoming and assisting customers, making appointments, answering the phone, ironing clothes and/or ensuring that items are ready for pickup.

Essential job functions

  • Welcome all customers with genuine and friendly enthusiasm on the phone, virtual and in person chat, communicate clearly and concisely adapting style to customers by solving problems, excellent telephone skills and conflict resolution.
  • Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star customer experience.
  • Fulfill all service grades including, Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs and Be Present for all customers, includes all operational checklist tasks and meeting the emotional and practical needs of customers.
  • Responsible for delivering an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at the same time and contributing to achieving the Five Star Customer Service Point of Sale. Proactively address customer concerns with confidence. Know when to step up and collaborate with the leadership team.
  • She effectively communicates how alterations can play an important role in perfecting the outfit for her event in collaboration with Alterations.
  • Promote all servicesalteration and customization options.
  • Maintain store standards (cleanliness, organization, promotional availability, store restoration) to support a flawless shopping experience.
  • Maintain high standards of dress as required by the dress code policy.
  • Welcome and accompany all customers with changes to and from changes for appointments.
  • Print, steam and clean all merchandise locally.
  • Follows quality control guidelines and inspects all altered/steamed/pressed garments for pristine condition prior to final delivery to the customer.
  • Building long-term relationships to satisfy and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Supports inventory management by processing special orders, collections and premium standards for all merchandise.
  • It supports all cash wrap behaviors and processes transactions with precision to make sure every customer feels celebrated.
  • Requires assistance from the Alteration Manager to deal with customer problems that he is unable to resolve.
  • Keeps an edit room clean and organized.
  • Carries out tasks and duties assigned by the store management.

Physical demands

  • During the performance of his duties, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time; reach tools and objects with your hands and arms; Go upstairs; stoop, kneel, squat or crawl; ability to bend, twist and stand; movethroughout the shop; and talk and listen to customers. Manual ability to perform responsibilities other than selling, such as using Point of Sale (POS) terminals, counting money, steaming clothes, accessing computers, and receiving or initiating telephone calls. Manual dexterity to sew and make accessories to David’s bridal standards, as needed. Ability to lift/and or move up to 10 lbs. The employee must be able to see near and far, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception, and be able to watch, read and use a computer, electronic devices and telephones for extended periods of time.

Education and credentials

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of retail experience in a clothing or specialty store environment.
  • Previous sewing experience is useful.
  • Previous experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system
