The experience of working with suppliers to verify prices, order parts and products is an essential part of this role. It is also important to have a solid experience working with parts and inventory. This role requires strong customer service and general computer skills. forMain responsibilities:
• Works with suppliers to get the best prices for parts and inventory
• Processes emergency routine parts orders from service technicians and prepares pick list for selection. for • Process external customer part orders and pick list. for • Creates purchase orders based on part needs and sends them to the appropriate suppliers. for • Enters product receipts into the operating system and prepares the pick list for open parts orders. for • Set up and maintain new product registrations and shipping information
• Maintains proper auto stock inventory records of the service technician. for • Maintains an organized folder operating system for all open purchase orders and service technician incomplete parts orders. for• Releases incomplete parts calls to the service technician for completed parts orders. for • Provides ETA for backorders and streamlines critical parts needs. forOther Duties: Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a complete list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. • High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Associate’s degree and/or preferred equivalent experience from a preferred two-year college or technical school; experience and/or related training from six months to one year; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. for • Language skills: ability to read and understand simple directions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information effectively in individual and small group situations to clients and other employees in the organization. for • Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. for • Reasoning ability: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written form,oral or diagram. Ability to tackle problems that involve several specific variables in standardized situations. for • Computer skills: to do this job successfully, a person must have knowledge of contact management systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and word processing softwarefor
