Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theater and ensure that policies and procedures are followed and operating standards are met. They are cross-trained in all departments to provide support where needed and provide inspiring training to all employees. This is usually a temporary or training position. After an unspecified time of at least six months and upon completion of the Management Accreditation Program requirements, the Assistant Director may be promoted to Senior Assistant Director, Theater Director or Director General. forfor A day in the life of an assistant principal

The essential duties and responsibilities of an assistant principal include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Follows the direction of the General Manager
  • Supports the decisions of the General Manager in communication with the staff
  • Responsible for working in all departments and all job functions in the theater
  • Coaches and trains team members in their specific job functions
  • Assists in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager
  • Observes and participates in the inspection of theater building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roofs and exterior signage, and condition of equipment
  • Report need for repairs to buildings, property and equipment to General Manager
  • Se ensures that theater team members follow the dress code
  • Interact with guests to improve service in the theater and ensure that team members provide superior customer service
  • Learn and follow the policies and procedures set forth in the Cinemark Guidelines. Enforces these with all team members fairly and consistently
  • Report all employee relationship issues to the general manager and/or general manager of the restaurant (in the absence of the GM/RGM, the management must report employee relations issues to www.convercent.com)
  • All members of management must follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol
  • All Members of management are held to a high standard of work ethics and a code of conduct
  • Lead or attend a mandatory shift meeting (team discussion) at the beginning or during a shift
  • Perform wellness checks on theater team members daily
  • Perform the duties of Housekeeping Manager and Safety Monitor during a shift, if assigned
  • Identify and constantly disinfects high-touch areas within andaround the theater
  • Ensures and constantly promotes adherence to appropriate social distancing guidelines
  • Correctly uses personal protective equipment while performing job-specific tasks
  • Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • Appropriately addresses any safety issues (tripping hazards, lighting, suspicious people, etc.)
  • Performs other jobs- Related duties assigned

What you will need to have

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School or G.E.D. Graduate preferred
  • Complete three core courses (Management Fundamentals, Annual Certifications and MAP Core) within the Cinemark Management Accreditation Program
  • Complete Basic Food Handling Training and earn any required state or local certification, health card, or food handler permit when required
  • Members of management who work with alcohol must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Requires regular and constant attendance
  • Has an energetic and friendly demeanor during each shift
  • Provides excellent guest service
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders and personalities. Must be able to converse and understand the English ofEffectively and regularly
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to take and follow directions
  • Responds with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to train and lead others
  • Must be able to resolve conflicts
