Members of the Cinemark team create a welcoming environment for our guests. A team member is fast, accurate, and knowledgeable about movies, special events, upcoming attractions, prices, promotions, etc. This person enforces the movie studio and theater admissions policies. Knowing that great tasting snacks complement the movie theater experience, one team member strives to ensure the highest quality in everything served. Being familiar withthe operation, this person will answer guests’ questions and make them feel comfortable, while ensuring a quality listening and visual experience. Team members can be asked to work cross-sectionally as an usher, box office teller, or concessionaire as staffing needs require. Team members must be able to perform the essential job functions of these positions. forfor A day in the life of a member of the theater team:
for The essential duties and responsibilities of a member of the theater team include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Operate the Cinemark POS system for all completed transactions in the assigned register, including proper cash balance, distribution of the correct inventory and tickets associated with each sale, logging off properly when not in the registry, reporting any concerns to management (including unauthorized use of the assigned registry), etc.
- Properly use personal protective equipment while performing job-specific tasks
- Void passes, coupons, and discount tickets upon completion of the transaction and process any refunds as needed with the required forms
- Verifies tickets at the podium and directs guests to an auditorium
- Ensures tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system, studio admission and company policy
- Provides pricing, movies, specialty events, alternative movie selectionsand general information about the theater
- Respond to guest phone calls and searches in a professional manner and with quality customer service
- Conduct theater inspections to monitor movie presentation and sound quality, monitor movie and content theft, and help maintain a safe quality environment within auditoriums
- Keeps theater property clean and free of debris (lobby , hallways, restrooms, auditoriums, exits, parking lots, etc.)
- Prepare food and properly operate cooking, heating and popping equipment
- Constantly clean and disinfect food areas high employee contact within our auditoriums and restrooms such as non-food surface areas, entry door handles, handrails, armrests, cup holders, seats, reclining trays and recliner operating buttons, faucets handles, accessory discharge handles, soap dispenser unit buttons, partition handles and locking mechanisms, baby changing stations, etc
- Constantly clean and sanitize guest service areas, counters , point of sale equipment, PCI equipment, microphones, windows, ticket printers, kiosks, counters, card readers, terminals, counterfeit detectors, door handles, taps and any other area that is heavily affected by a guest or team member
- Comply with all federal, state and local food safety laws
- Attend a mandatory shift meeting (team discussion) at the start or during the shift
- Ensures and promotesconstantly complying with appropriate social distancing guidelines
- Adapting to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Monitors safety and security issues (tripping hazards, lighting , suspect people, etc.) and inform management
- Instruct and calm Guests in case of an emergency
- Help with all opening and closing tasks assigned by management
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
What you will need to have
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Complete basic food handling training and obtain any certification, health card, or food handler permit state or local mandated food when needed
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Requires regular and consistent attendance
- Has an energetic and friendly demeanor during each shift
- Provides excellent service to guests
- Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all ages, genders and personalities. Must be able to converse and understand English effectively and regularly
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Ability to take and follow instructions
- Responds with a sense of urgency
- Precise cash handling and basic math skills
Physical and environmental requirements you will need:
- Crouch, kneel, and lift up50 pounds frequently.
- Frequent standing, walking and stretching
- Ability to carry, push and pull objects
- Noise level can be moderate to high at times
- Being able to work standing up for extended periods of time
