This is a work from home opportunity due to the current global pandemic. Applicants must live in the Phoenix metropolitan area and must be flexible and willing to work in the CarMax Phoenix contact center if future business needs change
Offer an iconic customer experience
As an employee of one of our Contact Centers, you will ensure that we put people first. You’ll manage a wide range of customer service interactions and make it easier for them to purchase and finance the right car for their needs, making their life that much easier. Whether you’re talking to a customer on the phone, working with them online, or answering their questions via text message, your attention and empathy will give them the personalized experience they deserve.
What You Will Do – Essential Responsibilities
- Connect with customers online and by phone to answer customer questions, conduct follow-ups and confirm appointments to better support the customer
- Triage of incoming calls to the appropriate person or department to best assist the customer
- Complete administrative tasks such as processing payments and updating information in our CarMax systems
- Understand and comply with company policies and procedures, including collection policies/laws
Learn and succeed as part of a team
This is a high-energy environment where you will work as a team to achieve your goals. We are not the usual call center. We will give you everything you need to be the best you can be. You’ll handle a wide range of customer service interactions and make sure everything runs smoothly, so the ability to quickly build relationships with people and understand their needs is essential. We will work and learn as a team.
Qualifications and requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent to 1 month experience
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Speak and listen effectively with CarMax customers over the phone or in writing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including word processing and typing skills
- Flexible working hours with shifts that can include nights, weekends and holidays
