This is a work-at-home opportunity given the current worldwide pandemic. Applicants must live in the greater Phoenix area and be flexible and willing to work in the CarMax Phoenix contact center if future business needs change.
Deliver an Iconic Customer Experience
As a member of one of our Contact Centers, you will ensure that we are putting people first. You’ll handle a wide range of customer service interactions and make it easy for them to buy and finance the right car for their needs, making their lives much easier. Whether you’re talking to a customer on the phone, working with them online, or answering their questions via text message, your care and empathy will deliver the personalized experience they deserve.
What You Will Do – Essential Responsibilities
- Connect with customers online and over the phone to answer customer questions, conduct follow-ups, and confirm appointments to better serve the customer
- Screening incoming calls to the appropriate person or department to best serve the customer
- Complete administrative tasks such as processing payments and updating information on our CarMax systems
- Understand and comply with policies and company procedures,including billing policies/laws

Qualifications and requirements
- High School Diploma or 1 month equivalent of related experience
- Thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Speak and listen effectively with CarMax customers by phone or in writing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge including word processing and typing skills
- Flexible working hours with shifts that can include nights, weekends and holidays
Only candidates outside Carmax who are hired will qualify for the signing bonus
