Position Summary

AutoZone’s part-time retail sales associates drive sales through superior customer service, exceeding customer expectations and delivering a WOW! Experience in customer service. While assisting customers, the Retail Sales Associate will perform assigned tasks daily and will abide by company procedures in accordance with Living the Pledge’s AutoZone expectations every day.

Position Responsibilities

• Provides WOW! Customer Service
• Ensures that tasks assigned to the store are completed in a timely manner in the assigned shift
• Operates cash registers and follows established cash handling procedures
• Follow company policies and loss prevention procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Maintain store appearance and safety standards merchandising as directed
• Ensures merchandise is resupplied and placed in their respective areas
• Uses ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives
• Maintain product knowledge and current promotions through AutoZone systems and information sources
• GOTTChA practices and assists in the installation of wiper blades, batteries and lamps
• Uses OBDII to read codes customer cars
• Capacity of d diagnose automotive problems and recommend solutions
• Communicates with managers about customer concern and employee issues
• Actively engaged in developing more effective customer service skills
• Provides advice honest and trustworthy to customers about the best products that fit customer expectations

Position requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to pick up, load and deliver goods
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, evenings and weekend shifts
