What will you do

  • Handles customer inquiries, complaints and billing inquiries with the utmost courtesy and professionalism to solve customer problems with a single call.
  • Offers alternative solutions where appropriate with the aim of maintaining customer business.
  • Manages business transactions in connection with the activation of new customer accounts on a computer terminal.
  • Communicate with customers using web-based tools and demonstrate relativeproficiency in typing and grammar.
  • Makes financial decisions to protect/collect revenue and adjust client accounts.
  • Selling all products and services offered by the company.
  • Has a broad working knowledge of AT&T practices and operations and demonstrates ongoing and consistent proficiency in most of the skill sets used within the host call center.
  • Can assist management with planning and monitoring workforce and vacation schedules in accordance with established business guidelines and requirements.
  • Can help train new employees.
  • Perform other assigned duties from the management.

Essential general functions normally required

  • Responds to customer inquiries or questions related to services and products and reports problem areas.
  • Uses various systems and tools to initiate and assist customers .
  • Constantly maintain practical knowledge of all the company’s products, services and promotions.
  • Make recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Use systems operational to process purchases of all products and services.
  • Administer system functions on all opening, closing and balancing procedures according to financial guidelines.
  • May perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned and/or required.
  • SolidProblem-solving skills to determine and resolve customer billing problems
  • Strong verbal and telephone skills for the purpose of gathering data for troubleshooting and communicating results to customers.

Physical requirements

  • Employees may be required to sit on the phone for extended periods of time while using the computer.

Basic qualifications

  • Preferable 6 months to 1 year sales/customer service experience


Candidates must pass any assessments or tests associated with the position.
