Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Script Writer to join the Media Production Division of the Corporate Communications Support Department.

The Media Production Division is responsible for providing high-end video production, photography, archive and broadcast radio services that provide quality content for the communication needs of Saudi Aramco.

The Senior Script Writer’s primary role is to work within the Media Production Audio Visual Unit, working independently and with assigned Production Directors to produce creative and engaging scripts for corporate video programs for events, social media and other corporate video needs.

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in communications media, film, television or related creative writing discipline from a recognized and approved program.

You will have ten years’ experience in the video production industry, including at least five in a role as a script writer.

You will have a detailed CV / resume detailing your professional history, including previous scripts completed.

You must have a solid understanding of the video pre-production, production and post production industry. You will be able to demonstrate your creative writing abilities through either previous work samples or showreel. to demonstrate your creative editing abilities through either previous work samples or showreel. This should include long and short form work and feature a strong mix of high-end corporate, documentary and commercial / promo projects You must be able to demonstrate a clear ability to research and write for corporate video.

You will be able to work quickly and efficiently and deliver creative results to tight deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

The Senior Script Writer will work with proponents across the scope of Saudi Aramco’s business operations to research for and then write creative, engaging and informative video scripts that meet Saudi Aramco communication objectives.

Research may involve travel to Saudi Aramco remote facilities and other areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Provide guidance and training to Junior members of the Media Production Script Writing Team.

Employ a wide range of creative script writing techniques and develop solutions that are consistent with the production and post production capabilities of the Unit.

Required to develop an in-depth knowledge of Company operations, values and direction, and scripts written will conform to established corporate branding guidelines of Saudi Aramco.
