Position Description
We are seeking a Sound Designer to join the Media Production Division of the Corporate Communications Support Department.
The Media Production Division is responsible for providing high-end video production, photography, archive and broadcast radio services that provide quality content for the communication needs of Saudi Aramco.
The Sound Designer primary role is to work within the Media Production Audio Visual Unit, working independently and / or with assigned Production Directors to produce creative and engaging sound design for corporate video programs and events, social media and other corporate video needs.

Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree specializing in sound recording and sound designing for film, television or related creative discipline from a recognized and approved program.
You will have ten years’ experience as Sound Recordist / Sound Designer, including at least five in a role as a lead Sound Designer fully responsible for major projects.
You will have a detailed CV / resume outlining your professional history, including clients and previous projects completed.
You will have a solid understanding of the video pre-production, production and post production industry, including knowledge about modern audio mixers, microphones, boom operation, sound effect creation, interview recording, voice enhancement and audio cleanup. You will be able to demonstrate your creative sound design abilities through either previous work samples or showreel. This should include long and short form work and feature a strong mix of high-end corporate, documentary and commercial / promo projects.
You must have professional grade operational knowledge of professional audio equipment and software (Pro Tools preferred) and third-party plugins. Music composition skills are an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
As a professional Sound Designer, you will record location and studio sound, balance, mix and create sound effects for corporate video programs to the highest standard using the Media Production Division’s professional resources, including recording and post-production equipment.
Required to travel to various within Saudi Arabia to preform Sound Recordist work as needed.
When required you will provide guidance, training and lead the Junior members of the Media Production Audio Team.
Employ a wide range of creative sound designing techniques, while ensuring that that audio quality adheres to required technical standards.
Keep up to date with modern audio equipment and research new equipment to improve the sound designing process.
