As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for merchandising and product storage, checkout and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You will enhance the customer shopping experience by working in partnership with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Type of position: full-time

Average hours: 32-40 hours per week

Starting Wage: $ 16.00 per hour (including $ 2.00 per hour of premium pay for all hours worked between November 8, 2021 and January 2, 2022)

Obligations and responsibilities

Must be able to perform his duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning, neatly store shelves and merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers in their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to the store management team
• Provide management feedback on all products, inventory leaks, scan errors and general issues
• Participate in store inventory counting according to guidelines and inventory tracking for accuracy
• Adheres to checkout policies and procedures to minimize losses
• Compliant with all established company policies and procedures, while maintaining the security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Other assigned tasks

Physical demands

• Possibilityto store the goods from receipt of the shop to the shelf; ability to place product, up to 45 lbs, on shelves at various heights
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk around the store
• Must be able to perform his duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to use a cash register efficiently and accurately
• Capability to perform safely and correctly use equipment, including electric/manual jack, scrubber drier and carton packer
• Ability to perform general cleaning tasks according to company standards
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to stay organized, pay attention to detail, follow instructions and multi-task professionally and efficiently
• Meet all state and local requirements for the handling and sale of alcoholic beverages

Education and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous work experience in a retail setting preferred
• A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge
