National Buying Services is the department dedicated to acquiring the assets our ALDI customers rely on. In addition to working to ensure quality products at the lowest possible prices through our purchasing and support teams (administration, merchandising, pricing, quality assurance, analysis and more), our teams ensure that we are providing the best value and quality in everything we do.

Type of position: full-time

Starting salary: $ 17.00/hour

Place of work: Batavia, IL

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days a week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days a week; work in the office at least 2 days a week)

Obligations and responsibilities

Must be able to perform his duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Creates, maintains and enters information into appropriate information systems.
  • Examines documents for accuracy and enters information appropriately into databases.
  • Organize, draft and manage company documents in paper and electronic files.
  • Generate, review and compile data in preparation for monthly meetings.
  • Maintain various IT applications, manage databases, generate reports and tracks spreadsheets.
  • Maintains calendars for management by coordinating and scheduling calls, appointments, meetings and/or travel arrangements.
  • Performs all assigned tasks in accurately,efficient and in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the confidentiality and privacy of sensitive employee and company data.
  • Other assigned duties.

Education and experience

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
  • Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical requirements

  • Work is done in an office environment where a computer, telephone, and other office equipment is used as needed to perform their duties.
  • Regularly required to sit, reach, grab, stand and move from one area to another.
  • Constantly and repeatedly use the keyboard/mouse.
  • Occasionally required for pushing, pulling, folding, lifting and moving up to 25 lbs.
