Functional Accountabilities

Define Category strategy, Role, and Intent-based on company positioning and Commercial Strategy

Identify the target customers and their needs

Analyze and understand Market data and keep watching all new changes and trends to ensure delivering all required innovations

Translate category platform strategy plans into procurement request

Assortment, define category assortment based on customer needs and market dynamics and ensure it will match the company positioning

Create efficiencies into Assortment building to support each cluster (Range Matrix).

Build sustainable and consistent process of Rationalization

Ensure we have the innovation and trendsetter brands first of the market

Identify Pricing strategy, through setting sales price / Gross margin responsibility plus keep watching the overall market prices

Develop and set offers / Promotional activities to ensure delivering the best value for money and being the most competitive in the market

Marketing, execute category – related 365 marketing plan for all channels in alignment with the marketing department

Design the category dimensions & planograms according to the overall company strategy and format customer needs.

Identify the latest trends in markets and study customer patterns to come up with innovations

Maintain and propose corrective actions for stock turns and stock availability

Working closely with the marketing team to ensure we have the right communication strategy and tactics for Category awareness

Leading Joint Business Planning with key Suppliers(JBP), through analyzing internal and external data and building scorecard systems and market intelligence for KPI-based suppliers negotiations ( turn over, stocks, working capitals,…. )

Working closely with the supply chain to ensure we have the right forecast and right DC availability

• Negative working capital

Required qualification

• Bachelor degree ( industrial engineering )
• 3- 5 years experience in the Retail environment
• Good negotiation skills
• Fluent Arabic and English
• Microsoft office
